Marsh Hay Cordgrass - Spartina patens / Plug

Perennial grass to 5 feet. Solitary or in small clumps from widely spreading slender wiry rhizomes. Leaf blades involute or rarely flat. Once abundantly harvested for hay. High salt marsh, brackish flats, beaches, low dunes, swales, and other areas. Native from Canada to Mexico. Sold in plugs trays with variable minimum quantities.
