Black Rush - Juncus roemerianus / Plug

A grass-like or sedge-like perennial with needle-like points. Height is 2-3 feet. Coarse and rigid plant. Seeds and vegetative parts are used by waterfowl, Muskrats, and other birds. Good shoreline protection plant. Can be found along shorelines of bays, back bays, and tributaries of tidal systems. Native from Maryland to Florida and Texas. Sold in plug trays with variable minimum quantities.
