Softstem Bulrush - Scirpus validus / Plug

Perennial herb usually found in large colonies. Height is from 3-6 feet. Spiklets are brown. Found in both fresh and brackish waters. Important habitat for fish and other aquatic life. Native Americans used the roots and stem bases for food and weaved baskets and mats from the stems. Native to most of North America and maybe beyond. Sold in plug trays with variable minimum quantities.
